Leaving her partnership at a global law firm, Michelle Strowhiro founded Strowhiro Law in 2024 to provide the same top-tier service to her clients with the attentiveness and efficiency of a small firm. Michelle Strowhiro

Employment Attorney

Michelle provides trusted, strategic counsel to companies across the U.S. on all aspects of employment law compliance. Partnering with clients, Michelle helps her clients establish and maintain strong and lawful employment policies, personalized to make sense for their organizations. She helps clients manage employee relationships from hire to termination, administer leaves and other workplace accommodations, conduct workplace investigations, resolve disputes, and when needed, support employee exits. Michelle works with clients across industries, including technology, retail, healthcare, advertising, food service, private equity, sports, media, and entertainment.

Leveraging her past experience as a partner at a global law firm where Michelle led the firm’s employment law subgroup supporting mergers and acquisitions, Michelle supports clients in acquisitions of all sizes with employment M&A diligence tailored to the acquisition. Michelle also drafts and negotiates transactional documents, including employment reps and warranties and executive employment agreements. She works with clients to facilitate smooth employee integrations post-close, helping to avoid employment law foot faults on Day 1 and beyond.

Michelle provides manager and employee training, including state-law required harassment prevention trainings as well as proactive employee and manager trainings like management basics, DEI and the law, leaves of absence and workplace accommodations, hiring best practices, California wage-and-hour tutorials, one-on-one coaching, and more.

Michelle has litigated and successfully settled and defeated putative nationwide class actions and single- and multi-plaintiff lawsuits for over a decade. She uses her seasoned experience to advise businesses on how to avoid employment disputes and how to manage claims in line with her clients’ goals. Michelle advises on a wide range of employment issues and claims including restrictive covenants (such as non-competes and non-solicits), harassment, discrimination, retaliation, wrongful termination, accommodations and leaves of absence, wage-and-hour issues including overtime and minimum wage, meal and rest breaks, worker classification, background checks, California law matters, and other employment-related matters.
